# Blend Smart Contracts

Blend is an open source smart contract protocol created by the Blur Foundation and Paradigm. Blend’s smart contracts have been audited by Chainlight (see [Audit report here](https://drive.google.com/file/d/13rmzXIdy138gxPwiGNH8kk-yob4Bjzll/view)). Blend launched on May 1, 2023 and has had over 100,000 loans worth over $1.3B in value since launch without any security issues.
